Component Engineer - Remote

Overview

A Component Engineer supports project engineering teams by optimizing standard component designs and developing new components while resolving component-related issues.

In Short

• Support project engineering teams in Liquid and Powder Technologies.
• Maintain and optimize standard component designs.
• Develop new components and resolve related issues.
• Act as Project Manager for select product development projects.
• Coordinate with various project contributors.
• Review product designs for compliance with standards.
• Create and maintain technical manuals and specifications.
• Provide technical mentoring and leadership.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.
• Participate in design review meetings and USDA-3A workgroups.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in dairy component technology or related industry.
• Experience in Mechanical engineering, manufacturing, FEA, AutoCAD, and/or Inventor.
• Knowledge of 3A and USDA regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with structural engineering preferred.
