Solutions Architect - Remote

Overview

GDIT is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design, manage, and deliver an improved user experience for all members of our software development team.

In Short

• Design and implement a scalable architecture hosted on AWS.
• Develop a comprehensive strategic roadmap for the development platform.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development and testing teams.
• Conduct regular assessments of the development platform for improvements.
• Ensure seamless integration of various tools and technologies.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Establish best practices for development, deployment, and maintenance.
• Lead the implementation of the strategic plan ensuring quality standards.
• Work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a solution architect role.
• Proven experience with AWS and its services.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools like GitLab CI and Jenkins.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with databases and AI tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Certification in AWS Solutions Architect is preferable.
• Experience with agile methodologies and leading agile teams.
