IT System Administrator / DevOps Engineer - Remote

Overview

This role involves managing the operation of software solutions, working closely with the development team to enhance infrastructure and internal processes.

In Short

• Responsible for the operation of software and infrastructure management.
• Design and implement automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using GitLab.
• Containerize software components using Docker.
• Automate setups, deployments, and updates using GitOps.
• Administer Linux server infrastructure, including Debian and Talos.
• Automate processes in server and client administration using Bash and Ansible.
• Setup and maintain system components, databases, and container infrastructure.
• Scale IT infrastructure using load balancing and Kubernetes.
• Enhance logging and monitoring infrastructure.
• Work in an agile development environment with a dynamic team.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent vocational training.
• At least 3 years of experience in system administration and operating web applications.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is essential.
• Strong independent work ethic and responsibility.
• Familiarity with Git, GitLab, CI/CD, JavaScript, Python, and IT security standards is a plus.
• Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written.
