Overview

Fortrea is seeking a dedicated US remote based Medical or Senior Medical Director with expertise in ophthalmology to provide medical direction for early clinical trials and support development activities.

In Short

• Medical direction for early clinical trials in ophthalmology.
• Support development activities for proposed and ongoing projects.
• Medical monitoring of assigned clinical studies.
• Cross-functional contributions with medical teams and project teams.
• Oversight of medical monitoring activities to ensure quality deliverables.
• Serve as Global, Regional, or Program Lead Project Physician.
• Contribute to medical strategy and execution of studies.
• Prepare materials for investigator meetings.
• Provide medical/scientific expertise to project teams.
• Participate in site initiation visits.

Requirements

• MD Degree with relevant specialty training.
• Recognized clinical research leader with drug development knowledge.
• 3-10 years of clinical research experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• 2-5 years of clinical trials medical monitoring experience.
• Equivalent experience may substitute educational requirements.
