Legal Assistant, Collections - Remote

Overview

The Legal Assistant, Collections will support the Post Judgment Remedy (PJR) team at Forward Financing, collaborating with outside counsel and internal collections teams to drive processes and results.

In Short

• Support the PJR team by communicating with outside attorneys.
• Process, organize, and update case files.
• Relay major case milestones to internal collections teams.
• Review legal drafts before submission to court.
• Monitor caseload to ensure timely milestones.
• Analyze and recommend next actions for cases.
• Oversee case inventory management.
• Contribute to performance evaluations of outside attorneys.
• Assist with legal administrative tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced litigation environment.
• Adaptable to changing team needs.
• Working knowledge of Word; Excel knowledge preferred.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
• Experience handling high volumes of work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Effective in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
