Assistant Vice President, Financial Operations - Remote

Overview

The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Finance Operations will play a key role in directing and coordinating enterprise-wide financial processes to promote consistency, efficiency, and operational excellence across all regions. This includes execution of the financial audit plan, including managing coordination with external auditors, and aligning agendas for the audit committee and internal management. The AVP will ensure a comprehensive view of our enterprise financial processes.

• Develop and execute strategic initiatives to accelerate financial deliverables.
• Manage the finance strategic management system.
• Assist in managing the end-to-end program oversight of all finance activities.
• Communicate upcoming deliverables and ensure all processes are well-documented.
• Support planning of quarterly offsite meetings with the leadership team.
• Work closely with the Data & Analytics and other Finance teams for process improvements.
• Develop high-quality executive communications and presentations.
• Support the preparation of monthly reports for audit and board meetings.
• Coordinate materials for the audit committee and internal management.
• Act as primary liaison with external auditors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting preferred.
• Six (6)+ years of professional experience in insurance or financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of (re)insurance or other financial markets.
• Knowledge of audit processes and regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized with outstanding planning abilities.
• Strong project management skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth organization preferred.
• Skilled in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and other office applications.
