Financial Reporting Accountant - Remote

Overview

Fleetio seeks a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Reporting Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. In this critical role, you’ll help drive a culture of continuous improvement by ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and compliance of our financial reporting processes. You'll support internal and external reporting and month-end close activities and collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A and other accounting team members. In Short

• Join Fleetio's Accounting team as a Financial Reporting Accountant.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting processes.
• Support month-end close activities and internal/external reporting.
• Collaborate with FP&A and accounting team members.
• Drive process improvements and problem-solving initiatives.
• Work in a fully remote setting with minimal supervision.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Communicate effectively across departments.
• Stay current on accounting standards and guide their adoption.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in public/private accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Actively pursuing or open to pursuing CPA designation.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Technologically savvy and comfortable using various software/tools.
• Background check required.
