Senior Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

FitLab is looking for a proactive and detail-driven Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role offers the chance to own day-to-day transactional accounting and play a key part in producing accurate and timely financial statements that support strategic decision-making across the organization.

In Short

• Deliver accurate financials to the Controller by the 5th of each month using fast-close procedures.
• Maintain and review detailed balance sheet reconciliations; delegate and oversee reconciliations performed by team members.
• Supervise GL and AR clerks, holding weekly check-ins and managing workloads.
• Review work from GL and AR clerks for accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure daily soft bank reconciliations are completed.
• Partner with operations and purchasing on vendor questions and inventory accounting matters.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts and prepare compliance data for tax filings.
• Provide monthly budget vs. actual variance analysis.
• Support audits and other cross-functional accounting initiatives.
• Manage the accounting inbox and source documentation.

Requirements

• At least 5-7 years of experience in accounting.
• At least 3 years of experience managing an accounting team.
• Full Circle ERP experience preferred, NetSuite experience or similar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CPA preferred.
• High attention to detail in reviewing financial transactions.
• Knowledge of tax compliance and experience with audits.
