Risk Manager - Remote

Overview

As Risk Manager, you'll be hands-on in establishing and managing our risk function for the new Latvian subsidiary, closely collaborating with our Berlin-based risk management team. Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer, you will be responsible for comprehensive risk governance, regulatory compliance, and business growth through proactive risk strategies and practical risk management systems.

In Short

• Develop and implement scalable operational and financial risk identification, assessment, and mitigation frameworks.
• Establish robust in-product and back-end risk management controls.
• Support in compliance initiatives with Bank of Latvia standards.
• Prepare detailed risk analysis reports for senior management.
• Develop, test, and execute business continuity and incident response plans.

Requirements

• Solid track record in risk management within technology or financial services.
• Deep understanding of risk modeling (PD/LGD/EAD) and credit risk monitoring.
• Understanding of Latvian and European financial regulations.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and lead cross-departmental teams.
• Exceptional communication skills for presenting risk data.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, risk management, or related discipline.
