Overview

The Benefits Verification Specialist is responsible for verifying patient benefits, obtaining authorizations, and providing cost estimates for medical equipment, while ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

In Short

• Full-time remote position with office hours M-F, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Responsible for researching patient costs for immunotherapy and durable medical equipment.
• Obtain authorizations for medical equipment setup.
• Communicate closely with Expert Sleep Division staff.
• Requires effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High School Diploma required; medical billing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Excel and medical billing software is beneficial.
• Strong customer service orientation and detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Supports the quality of life for patients while adhering to compliance standards.

Requirements

• Effective communication skills in English.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and policies.
• 1 year of medical billing office experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills, especially in Excel.
• Understanding of insurance terms like deductibles and copays.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
