Specialist, Development and Events - Remote

Overview

Cure SMA is seeking an agile, dynamic, and driven professional with a track record of executing peer-to-peer and distinguished fundraising events. This candidate will be responsible for the logistical management and success of an event portfolio comprised of community walks, galas, golf tournaments, and other fundraising events.

In Short

• Manage relationships with vendors for fundraising events.
• Conduct research and negotiate contracts for events.
• Maintain event budgets and timelines.
• Train staff on event logistics and planning.
• Secure in-kind donations for events.
• Build relationships with participants and sponsors.
• Collaborate with operations teams for annual conferences.
• Handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Work with diverse communities and promote inclusion.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in special event logistics preferred.
• Knowledge of fundraising non-profit work preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office required.
• Ability to travel up to 25% for events.
• Work in an office and remote setting.
