Software Development Manager - Remote

Overview

The Software Engineering Manager is a hands-on engineering leader who shapes the technical direction, engineering culture, and delivery execution of high-volume and high-transaction systems across Experian Employer Services.

In Short

• Provide technical leadership across backend, frontend, and cloud systems.
• Contribute to code, lead code and architecture reviews.
• Partner with product, design, and technical leaders to define a multi-year roadmap.
• Run an Agile operating model with clear sprint goals.
• Strengthen engineering practices in code quality and automated testing.
• Guide engineering and QA teams from acquired organizations.
• Participate in on-call rotations to improve platform stability.
• Build and develop a cohesive engineering organization.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams.
• Improve engineering metrics such as cycle time and system reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 8+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
• Expertise in C#, .NET Framework, and modern architectural practices.
• SQL Server background with schema design and optimization.
• Understanding of frontend frameworks like Angular or React.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies.
