The Software Development Manager will lead a team of engineers and collaborate with technical and business teams to develop and enhance software solutions in the healthcare sector.

  • Ensure efficient resource allocation in on-prem and AWS environments.
  • Coach team members and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Plan and manage project budgets and forecast expenses.
  • Act as a communication bridge between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Hands-on coding approximately 20% of the time.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for platform emergencies.
  • Establish code standards and perform code reviews.
  • Work on migrating applications to AWS cloud.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 12+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years in management.
  • Experience in a healthcare organization is required.
  • 3+ years of cloud experience, especially with AWS.
  • Expertise in ASP.NET, C#/VB, and .Net Core.
  • Knowledge of MVC, Entity Framework, Unit testing, and LINQ.
  • Experience with message queuing technologies like MSMQ and Rabbit MQ.
  • Proficiency in AWS services like EC2, Lambda, and S3.
  • Familiarity with microservices and container orchestration tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles is beneficial.
