Senior Director, Threat Detection & Platform Engineering - Remote

Overview

The Senior Director of Threat Detection and Platform Engineering will lead Experian's Global Security Engineering Center of Excellence, which develops fully integrated cyber fusion security engineering capabilities and platforms.

In Short

• Lead a team that creates and implements automated workflows in tools to enhance incident response capabilities.
• Oversee building high-quality threat detection rules based on identified use cases and threat scenarios.
• Provide leadership and vision to security engineering planning functions.
• Collaborate with executives to deliver KPI/KRI threat detection metrics.
• Evaluate recommendations and implementations of new security tools.
• Assess management of detection rules and automated workflows.
• Oversee incident response activities and provide directives.
• Stay current on regulatory changes and latest threats.
• Participate in Breach Response exercises.

Requirements

• 10+ years of leadership experience in a technical capacity.
• 8+ years of information security experience in various areas.
• Expertise in Splunk or other SIEM tools.
• Proficient in SOAR and implementing automated workflows.
• Experience with MITRE ATT&CK™ framework.
• In-depth packet analysis and incident response skills.
• System administration on Unix, Linux, or Windows.
• Knowledge of network and host security technologies.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA are a plus.
