Overview

Experian is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the design, development, and evolution of their internal modular cloud platform. The role requires a seasoned engineer passionate about automation, cloud infrastructure, security, and compliance.

• Lead the design and implementation of a robust internal developer modular platform.
• Define modular platform standards across infrastructure and CI/CD.
• Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform and Python.
• Build self-service capabilities for modular infrastructure provisioning.
• Collaborate with application teams to improve developer experience.
• Implement automated controls for security and compliance.
• Act as a technical mentor within the modular platform engineering team.
• Influence cross-functional teams to align on platform strategy.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
• Partner with Global Cloud Office on compliance initiatives.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or DevOps roles.
• Deep expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience in designing large-scale production-grade platforms.
• Proficiency in IaC, CI/CD, and container orchestration.
• Understanding of cloud security principles.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Go, TypeScript).
• Knowledge of ITIL processes.
