Database Administrator III - Remote

Overview

EXPANSIA is seeking a Database Administrator who will be a part of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) team, responsible for support of database systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Enterprise network.

• Work with NASA’s Consolidated Applications and Platform Services (NCAPS) team.
• Implement, optimize, and maintain database systems.
• Manage database performance through index tuning and backup recovery.
• Develop stored procedures and oversee database administration tasks.
• Support database designers and analysts in developing SQL and web-based databases.
• Interface with client managers and system users regularly.
• Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Participate in growth efforts as requested.
• Ensure all contractual deliverables are met or exceeded.

Requirements

• Active Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with 5 - 7 years of experience, or a Master's with 3 - 5 years of experience.
• Oracle, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Certification.
• CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater).
• Proficiency in SQL commands, stored procedures, and database optimization techniques.
• Strong understanding of database security, integrity, and backup recovery processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical database challenges.
• Excellent communication skills.
