Site Reliability Engineer IV - Remote

Overview

As a Site Reliability Engineer IV, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, availability, and performance of complex DoD mission systems and applications. You will apply SRE principles to design, operate, and continuously improve resilient systems.

• Design, implement, and maintain systems with high availability and fault tolerance.
• Define and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
• Develop observability solutions to proactively detect anomalies.
• Lead incident response efforts and conduct blameless postmortems.
• Automate system deployments and operational tasks.
• Build self-healing and auto-scaling solutions.
• Implement cybersecurity controls aligned with DoD standards.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and system hardening.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate reliability and security.
• Ensure all contractual deliverables are met to customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of experience or Master's degree with 6-8 years of experience.
• Experience in site reliability engineering or DevSecOps.
• Knowledge of system observability and incident response practices.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS).
• Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
• Understanding of RMF and NIST cybersecurity frameworks.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on complex reliability challenges.
• Security + certification or equivalent.
