Overview

The Senior Compliance Program Auditor will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the organization’s billing practices. This individual will execute audit projects, assess risks associated with billing, regulatory, and operational risk, and work closely with internal teams to implement corrective actions and improve processes.

In Short

  • Assist with planning, fieldwork, and documentation of audits and reviews of laboratory revenue cycle operations.
  • Analyze billing data and trends to detect and prevent fraud and potential coding issues.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of third-party vendors and high-risk interactions.
  • Work with compliance and legal staff to resolve compliance concerns.
  • Maintain awareness of the regulatory environment related to laboratory services.
  • Identify weaknesses in revenue cycle functions and suggest improvements.
  • Prepare internal audit reports and present summaries internally.
  • Liaise with external auditors and follow up on findings.
  • Utilize collaboration skills to engage across teams.
  • Ability to analyze processes and determine if adequate controls are in place.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in auditing or internal controls.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical skills with complex data sets.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
