Accountant (2 Year Fixed-Term Contract) - Remote

Overview

Everbridge, a rapidly growing global provider of SaaS-based critical communications and enterprise safety solutions, is seeking an Accountant to join our team in Hungary. This is a fully remote, home-based role open to candidates across Hungary.

In Short

• This is a fixed-term maternity cover for a duration of 2 years.
• Responsible for accounting-related operations of international subsidiaries.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial closings.
• Build and maintain scalable processes for payroll, commissions, and invoicing.
• Assist in the impact of new US-based accounting standards.
• Post-close integration of acquired companies.
• Partner with Financial Planning & Analysis team for budgeting and reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
• Assist in the annual corporate SOX 404b certification process.
• Manage revenue and cost sharing arrangements.

Requirements

• Accounting degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in operational accounting.
• Experience in software companies, especially SAAS is a plus.
• Experience with US-based parent companies is a plus.
• Accounting qualification student preferred.
• Experience in a multinational environment.
• Project management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English is a must.
