Senior DeFi Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Senior DeFi Engineer at Ethena Labs, you'll be at the forefront of designing, deploying, and maintaining cutting-edge DeFi infrastructure and products, particularly in the areas of stablecoins, staking, liquidity, and cross-chain flows.

In Short

• Design and deliver core DeFi protocols including staking, stablecoin integrations, and liquidity systems.
• Lead cross-chain infrastructure development for seamless user experience.
• Partner with Security Engineering to design robust multisig/on-chain monitoring solutions.
• Implement security practices including audits, fuzzing, and incident playbooks.
• Collaborate with Trading & Risk Engineering to integrate market data into DeFi flows.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of DeFi products from inception to deployment.
• Drive innovation in stablecoin infrastructure with external stakeholders.
• Mentor junior and senior engineers to enhance team capabilities.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of smart contract patterns and DeFi mechanics.
• Proficiency in Solidity and EVM patterns.
• Experience with Rust and Solana smart contract development.
• Ability to design scalable and gas-efficient DeFi systems.
• Experience with security-first engineering practices.
• Practical experience with cross-chain infrastructure and messaging protocols.
