Senior Solution Architect - Utilities - Remote

Overview

As a Sr. Solution Architect, you will partner directly with utility customers to engage, create, and design proven and advanced ArcGIS enterprise system solutions through complex and diverse Professional Services engagement activities. You will be working closely with Esri customers and partners in a hands-on capacity to design solutions that meet specific business and technical needs and make utility customers successful while evangelizing the utilization of GIS. In addition, you will participate in and be a leader within the Esri community in terms of project approach and ArcGIS architecture-related topics.

• Design and implement innovative and impactful ArcGIS platform-based strategies and solutions to meet unique and complex Professional Services customer requirements
• Define business continuity for both on-premises and cloud deployments, following industry standards for security, governance, publication strategy, and custom application architecture
• Translate customer system requirements into software architecture and design specifications
• Advise customers on innovative, effective, and creative solutions using Esri technology
• Recommend relevant strategies, architectures, and solutions for Esri software implementation and migration
• Work closely with Professional Services customers and partners to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows
• Develop organizational-level multi-year IT/GIS strategies
• Mentor and guide colleagues with less experience
• Lead the implementation process through mentoring, coaching, and risk management
• Plan and script ArcGIS platform deployment automation

Requirements

• 12+ years in GIS platform architecture and solution design
• 5+ years of experience applying GIS technology within the electric and gas utilities sector
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, RDBMS, server environments, and programming/scripting
• Knowledge of integrating GIS with ERP, EAM, CRM systems
• Strong ability to lead teams and communicate technical concepts
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, Mathematics, or related STEM field
