Overview

Equivity is seeking an experienced California Civil Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling a wide range of matters, including real property disputes, business and contract litigation, employment law, and medical or professional defense.

In Short

• Part-time position with expected hours of 20 – 30 per week.
• Pay starts at $29.00 per hour.
• Manage civil litigation cases from intake through trial.
• Draft, edit, and file legal documents in compliance with court rules.
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and prepare summaries for attorney review.
• Assist with trial preparation and logistics.

• Communicate professionally with clients and court personnel.
• Provide administrative support to ensure consistent workflow.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of California civil litigation experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certificate preferred.
• Strong knowledge of California Code of Civil Procedure and court rules.
• Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Candidates based in California preferred.
