Supervising Physician - Eating Disorders - Remote

Overview

Equip is the leading virtual, evidence-based eating disorder treatment program on a mission to ensure that everyone with an eating disorder can access treatment that works. This role is for a board-certified MD or DO in Family Medicine or a dual board-certified MD/DO in Internal Medicine-Pediatrics, providing direct patient care and clinical leadership in a fully virtual setting.

In Short

• Deliver comprehensive medical assessments and evidence-based treatment for eating disorders.
• Monitor vital signs, labs, and medical data to ensure patient stability.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Communicate via electronic medical records.
• Document effectively within Equip's electronic medical record system.
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and continuing education.
• Willingness to pursue licensure in all 50 states.
• Flexible hours with a focus on afternoon and early evening availability.
• Expected to work primarily during Central Time hours.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree with board certification in family medicine or dual certification in internal medicine and pediatrics.
• 3+ years of clinical practice experience.
• Active medical license with willingness to obtain additional licenses.
• Experience in telehealth or virtual care delivery preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Ability to adapt to changing clinical and organizational priorities.
• Clinical maturity to navigate complex cases.
• Comfortable with startup pace and change.
• Experience in eating disorder medical management preferred.
• Ability to see patients across the lifespan.
