Risk Control and Safety Consultant - Fleet & DOT Safety - Remote

Overview

Edgewood Partners Insurance Center (EPIC) is seeking an experienced full-time Risk Control & Safety Consultant to join our Risk Control and Safety Team. This person will be responsible for providing consultations to specialty construction and infrastructure clients mainly in the Southeast and Midwest United States (U.S.), but this role may also travel throughout the United States or internationally. This role provides clients with strategic safety leadership and assists with implementing and carrying out best practices for clients to meet or exceed industry safety standards. In Short

• Responsible for consultations to specialty construction and infrastructure clients.
• Travel throughout the United States or internationally.
• Provide strategic safety leadership.

• Work from home when not traveling.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Environmental, Health & Safety role.
• Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
• Experience with DOT, FMCSA, NHTSA regulations required.
• Preferred candidates near Atlanta GA, Baton Rouge LA, Birmingham AL, Dallas TX, or Houston TX.

Requirements

• 10 years’ experience in Environmental, Health & Safety role or a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years’ experience.
• Professional certification (CSP, CIH, etc.) preferred.
• Expert knowledge of safety management principles.
• Ability to provide effective training presentations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in MS Office and data analysis.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.
