Waste Profile Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Waste Profile Specialist is responsible for managing Waste Approvals into TSDFs by reviewing related information to ensure compliance with regulatory and facility permit requirements.

In Short

• Manage Waste Approvals for hazardous waste.
• Review Material Profiles for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide regulatory review of EPA, DOT, and state designations.
• Communicate requirements clearly to Sales and Customer Service.
• Approve or reject materials for appropriate TSDFs.
• Respond to inquiries related to pre-approval information.
• Ensure compliance with turnaround time agreements.
• Limit liability by decreasing third-party outlets utilized.
• Add handling requirements to profile operational notes.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including limited travel.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in the hazardous waste industry.
• General knowledge of compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and treatment technologies.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint).
