PHP Web Application Developer - Remote

Overview

In this role you will embark on a large-scale, multi-year modernization initiative to transform a legacy monolithic PHP application into a modern, microservice-oriented architecture hosted on AWS.

In Short

• Transform legacy PHP applications into microservices.
• Develop back-end services using Symfony and Doctrine ORM.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with DevOps to design cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Containerize applications using Docker and manage orchestration via Kubernetes.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments.
• Work within an Agile Scrum framework.
• Participate in architectural design discussions and code reviews.
• Ensure high-quality, secure, and scalable API integrations.
• Work in a hybrid environment with occasional in-office meetings.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in back-end development with PHP.
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture.
• Experience deploying applications on AWS.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Must reside in Florida or Texas.
• Experience mentoring developers is a plus.
