Staff Software Engineer - Ground Control Team - Remote

Overview

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Ground Control Team, you will be pivotal in constructing the architecture, platform, and tools necessary for a scalable, reliable, observable, and performant microservices ecosystem.

In Short

• Develop and maintain the technical infrastructure for EnergyHub's microservices.
• Accelerate the software development lifecycle by standardizing common patterns.
• Prepare legacy applications for transition to a microservices architecture.
• Invest in and unify how teams develop, deploy, and test microservices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to best practices for CI/CD and iterative development.
• Mentor and support other engineers.
• Drive high-impact projects and develop creative solutions.
• Own and maintain Ground Control's processes and technical designs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Passionate about automation and building resilient products.
• Proficiency in Java (preferably Java 11+) and experience with a scripting language.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance multiple use cases.
• Ability to work across team boundaries to solve engineering challenges.
