Senior Software Engineer - Remote

EnergyHub empowers utilities and their customers to create a clean, distributed energy future. We help consumers turn their smart thermostats, EVs, batteries, and other products into virtual power plants that keep the grid stable and enable higher penetration of solar and wind power.

In Short

• Contribute to all parts of our stack, distributed services, queuing, and data layers.
• Expand and improve our cloud-based, mission-critical, 24x7 production system.
• Create architecture and design documents, write, test and review code.
• Work on next-generation demand response and energy efficiency services for utilities.
• Collaborate with all teams at EnergyHub for best integration experience.
• 5+ years professional software engineering experience required.
• Java experience (preferably Java 11+) is a must.
• Strong experience in the full SLDC cycle and core engineering design patterns.
• Experience in testing methodologies is essential.
• Knowledge of web services and RESTful APIs using Spring is needed.

Requirements

• Experience with a scripting language (Python preferred).
• Information security knowledge: PKI, TLS, OAuth, SSO.
• Front-end experience with React, Sass, Webpack.
• Familiarity with automated testing and continuous integration/deployment.
• Database and data processing pipeline experience.
