Overview

The Engineer in Training I position at Enbridge involves hydraulic system modeling and analysis to support the distribution optimization engineering team.

In Short

• Responsible for maintaining hydraulic system models.
• Analyze customer load profiles and incorporate changes.
• Design and analyze system alterations for integrity and reliability.
• Consult with internal groups on engineering and operational needs.
• Evaluate impacts of new customer connections.
• Create contingency plans and network impact reports.
• Perform simulations of operational requests.
• Support senior team members and supervisors.
• Work in various departments through an 18-month rotation.
• Participate in emergency on-call support for field teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Up to 2 years of co-op or full-time experience.
• Eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
• Knowledge of fluid dynamics or hydraulic modeling is an asset.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Suite and engineering software.
• Project planning and management skills are beneficial.
• Experience in Oil and Gas Operations is desired.
• Proficiency with GIS, Maximo, or SAP is a plus.
• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license required.
