Coding Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Coding Specialist is responsible for maximizing client reimbursement through accurate and timely entry and processing of ambulance call reports (ACR’s) in accordance with client, company, and compliance standards.

In Short

• Enter and process ambulance call reports accurately.
• Provide feedback to Revenue Cycle Manager on billing issues.
• Process pending and rejected claims promptly.
• Deliver front-end client reporting in a timely manner.
• Exhibit strong customer service skills.
• Meet client SLAs for billing turnaround times.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• One year experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
• Ability to apply sound judgment and critical thinking.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations.
• Strong internal customer service skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong data entry skills.
• Ability to manage time and maintain focus on repetitive tasks.
