Supplier Quality Specialist - Remote

Overview

As a Supplier Quality Specialist at Emerson, you will ensure the supply base consistently delivers quality goods and services while collaborating with suppliers to improve processes and mitigate risks.

In Short

• Lead qualification and audits of suppliers.
• Own the PPAP process.
• Conduct technical reviews with suppliers and internal customers.
• Coordinate First Article Inspections (FAIs).
• Provide technical support for receiving inspections.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers for quality assurance.
• Maintain supplier scorecards based on measurable criteria.
• Drive continuous improvement using statistical quality methods.
• Understand Lean and Proactive Quality Assurance principles.
• Ensure overall product quality from assigned suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Metallurgical).
• 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, with 3+ years in Supplier Quality.
• Experience in first-article inspection and PPAP processes.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000 and audits.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma.
• Experience with statistical quality improvement tools.
• Bilingual in English.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel to supplier sites.
