Overview

The Counter Salesperson will provide sales support to walk-in customers at the Profit Centre counters, ensuring the highest level of customer service while maintaining a clean and stocked sales area.

In Short

  • Assist customers at the Profit Centre counters.
  • Research products and provide recommendations.
  • Drive sales growth through counter merchandising.
  • Enter, pick, and pack sales orders.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the counter area.
  • Inform buyers of low stock levels.
  • Follow up on backorders with vendors.
  • Process returns and warranty claims.
  • Resolve customer concerns and complaints.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; higher education is an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service or counter sales experience.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Ability to learn and operate order processing software.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.
  • Strong work ethic and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
