Director, Engineering - Remote

Overview

The Director of engineering, Foundational Services, is responsible for the delivery of centralized services essential to multiple Emburse products. The scope includes multiple teams and services responsible for our ERP Integrations/Connectors, our Financial Systems Integrations (banking and card partners), Login and authentication services and services shared by our SaaS applications. The role is responsible for managing managers, accountable for delivery of engineering objectives across multiple engineering teams, the delivery of cross-team initiatives, and building large scale multi-region services.

• Adept at delivering on multiple priorities in a geographically dispersed environment.
• Familiar with all the policies, procedures and technical concepts related to software programming.
• Lead technical teams in delivering highly scalable and reliable applications.
• Skilled at influencing and negotiation with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent years’ experience.
• Experience leading multiple software development teams and services using modern Java, Python, NodeJS and/or .NET.
• Experience delivering services and infrastructure on AWS and related IAC.
• Experience working in a scrum and DevOps environment.
• Experience designing and building API services.
