Claims Counsel - Remote

Overview

As an early member of the Claims team, the Claims Counsel plays a critical role within the Embroker Insurance group by providing key feedback on claim systems and processes.

In Short

• Manage a variety of EPL, D&O, Cyber, E&O, Crime and Fiduciary claims.
• Focus on Cyber and Tech E&O losses.
• Conduct detailed coverage analysis and critical claim management.
• Drive cost-effective and timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with Claims and Insurance team leadership.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Participate in settlement negotiations.
• Support data collection efforts in claim management software.
• Identify emerging claims trends.
• Provide feedback for continuous improvement of claim processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; J.D. preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience in claims management.
• Experience managing Cyber and/or Tech E&O claims desirable.
• Must possess required state claim adjuster license.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel as necessary (10 - 15%).
• Ability to work cross-culturally on a global team.
• Ability to perform at a high level in a remote work environment.
