Associate Financial Planner - Remote

Overview

As an Associate Financial Planner at Edelman Financial Engines, you will assist Financial Planners in ensuring client happiness while adhering to regulatory issues.

In Short

• Perform financial planning analyses for clients including retirement, investments, estate, tax, education funding, real estate, and risk management needs analysis.
• Prepare presentations, research, and supporting materials for client meetings and reviews.
• Conduct assessments of clients’ evolving financial planning needs.
• Provide and supervise reports including minimum distributions, performance, billing, and insurance policies.
• Calculate required minimum distributions, income needs, and tax consequences.
• Maintain high-level contact with clients to improve relationships.
• Stay updated on industry products and trends.

Requirements

• 1-3+ years of experience in financial services, preferably in a broker/dealer or registered investment advisor environment.
• FINRA Series 65 required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or equivalent experience.
• Certified Financial Planner designation preferred.
• Experience in financial services and insurance sales preferred.
• Strong understanding of finance and investment markets.
• Attention to detail and strong coordination skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel is essential.
