Associate Planner - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Associate Planner to join our dynamic team. The Associate Planner will play a critical role in supporting our planning initiatives through research, data analysis, project coordination, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.

• Conduct research and data analysis to support planning projects and policy development.
• Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and planning documents.
• Coordinate and communicate with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
• Use GIS and other planning software to analyze spatial data and create maps.
• Organize and participate in virtual meetings, public hearings, and community outreach sessions.
• Review plans and proposals for compliance with regulations and organizational objectives.
• Maintain project files, documentation, and databases.
• Prepare and distribute project updates to stakeholders.
• Support senior planners and project managers as needed on various assignments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Environmental Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in urban or regional planning, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and planning software (ArcGIS, AutoCAD, etc.).
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual team environment.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
