Overview

The Education Specialist provides training, modeling, and quality support services to instructional staff in the CoachJAX! program to improve teacher interactions and instructional skills and to ensure children are prepared for entrance and success in kindergarten.

In Short

  • Provide on-site coaching and training to early childhood educators.
  • Conduct classroom observations and model best practices.
  • Maintain certification and complete required documentation.
  • Develop and implement demonstration lessons aligned with educational standards.
  • Facilitate large and small group professional trainings.
  • Collaborate with the CoachJax! team to achieve project goals.
  • Document coaching records and training hours for compliance.
  • Assist teachers in creating developmentally appropriate learning environments.
  • Communicate effectively with educators and directors.
  • Stay current in the field of early education through ongoing professional development.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Experience in teaching, coaching, or mentoring adults.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Knowledge of best practices in early childhood education.
  • Ability to develop and facilitate professional trainings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • CLASS Observer Certification required within six months of hire.
