Fall 2025 Legal Externship – International Program - Remote

Overview

Earthjustice’s International Program is accepting applications for one full- or part-time legal extern for fall 2025. We are seeking current law students who share a passion for justice and a healthy environment, and who are eligible to receive academic credit or fulfill a graduation requirement through this externship.

In Short

• Legal externship available for fall 2025.
• Remote work or hybrid schedule possible.
• Conduct research on U.S., international, and foreign laws.
• Assist in preparing memorandums and briefs.
• Draft public communications like press releases.
• Commitment of at least 12 hours per week.
• Unpaid position requiring academic credit.
• Excellent writing and research skills required.
• Knowledge of environmental or international law is a plus.
• Applications due by May 9, 2025.

Requirements

• Enrolled in law school as a 2L, 3L, or LLM during fall 2025.
• Eligible for academic credit.
• Strong work ethic and initiative.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
