Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

Lead the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines and architectures supporting Labor Management analytics. This role requires deep expertise in Azure, Databricks, and large-scale data integration, with a focus on delivering actionable insights for workforce planning and operational efficiency.

In Short

• Architect and implement robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Databricks.
• Integrate and model labor-related data from multiple sources (HR, scheduling, payroll, etc.).
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with internal and external standards.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on best practices.
• Onboard additional consultants as we scale up throughout the year.

Requirements

• 8+ years in data engineering, with at least 3 years in a principal or lead role.
• Proven experience with Azure Data Platform (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks).
• Strong SQL, Python, and Spark skills.
• Experience with labor/workforce management data is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
