In Short

• Answer all phone calls in a pleasant and professional manner
• Effectively triage calls from patients to ensure appropriate scheduling
• Listen and ask questions to accurately determine the patient's objective for the call
• Take messages from patients and transfer calls, as needed
• Accurately add patient/appointment information to NextGen computer system
• Reschedule clinic, cancellation, and 'no show' appointments for assigned providers
• Monitor email messages
• Schedule appointments from Patient Portal or Online Requests
• Maintain and update information in individual training/procedures manual
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Preferably previous scheduling experience or training
• Preferably previous insurance experience or training
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Good patient rapport
• Good listening skills
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Possess basic computer skills and efficiently use the computer
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations
