Mainframe Storage Management Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Mainframe Storage Management Engineer at DTCC, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of mainframe storage, ensuring efficient operations and interfacing with users.

• Manage mainframe storage systems and related hardware/software.
• Interface with customers for storage allocations and operations.
• Implement and manage disaster recovery plans.

• Stay updated on current technologies in Information Systems.
• Mentor junior staff and provide direction.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS architecture and storage technologies.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Programming skills in REXX and familiarity with SQL/COBOL.
• Flexible/hybrid work model with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Technology.
• Minimum of 7+ years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS software and hardware architecture.
• Familiarity with storage hardware/software technologies.
• Ability to program in REXX; SAS programming is a plus.
• Knowledge of distributed storage technologies is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word.
