Overview

As a Fault Management Engineer, you will be part of an incubation team working on in-field telemetry intended to transform the Customer Quality Experience for Samsung memory products.

In Short

  • Analyze trends and patterns from memory fleet telemetry.
  • Propose solutions to mitigate DRAM failure rates.
  • Communicate ECC schemes to customers.
  • Contribute to DRAM/HBM failure logging standardization.
  • Develop RAS algorithms for memory fault management.
  • Conduct POC with known failure DIMMs.
  • Collaborate with industry partners.
  • Publish findings through whitepapers and conferences.
  • Work in a start-up environment.
  • Shape the future of data centers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's with 15+ years or Master's with 13+ years or PhD with 10+ years in relevant field.
  • Knowledge of memory subsystem and RAS.
  • Experience in ECC design and verification.
  • Understanding of CPU and memory address mapping.
  • Experience with Linux kernel commits.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
