Software Tester - Remote

Overview

DSFederal Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Tester to support testing and quality assurance efforts for a critical enterprise application operating within a secure, Agile-driven federal IT environment.

In Short

• Develop and execute test strategies, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform manual and automated testing across application modules.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to verify sprint deliverables.
• Conduct comprehensive regression and user acceptance testing.
• Perform Section 508 accessibility testing.
• Validate application features against defined test acceptance criteria.
• Log, track, and triage bugs and defects.
• Contribute to test documentation artifacts.
• Participate in transition activities for knowledge transfer.
• Engage in continuous improvement of QA practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of software testing experience.
• Experience in Agile development settings.
• Familiarity with web-based testing and data validation.
• Hands-on experience with test management tools.
• Exposure to automated testing tools.
• Understanding of Section 508 testing standards.
• Knowledge of federal compliance frameworks.
• Experience documenting test results.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE preferred.
