Software Engineer - Query Planner and Reflections - Remote

Overview

Dremio is the unified lakehouse platform for self-service analytics and AI, serving hundreds of global enterprises. In this role, you will work on core features of Dremio's query engine, focusing on Reflections and distributed systems.

In Short

• Own design, implementation, testing, and support of next-generation features.
• Work with open source projects like Apache Calcite and Apache Iceberg.
• Use modular design patterns for architecture.
• Solve complex technical problems and improve telemetry.
• Design architectures for public clouds like GCP, AWS, and Azure.
• Mentor team members on quality and design.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Support teams.

Requirements

• B.S./M.S/Equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in production-level software development.
• Fluency in Java, C++, or another modern language.
• Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in developing scalable distributed systems.
• Passion for learning and quality.
• Motivated to be part of a fast-moving startup.
