Staff Architect - Big Data Analytics - Remote

Overview

The Staff Architect is a hands-on position on our Architecture team, working closely with product and engineering teams to shape technical solutions and guide engineers in building scalable systems.

In Short

• Architect, design, and build distributed systems for Big Data workloads.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and provide technical leadership.
• Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations to management.
• Build scalable and high-quality code, reviewing developers’ work.
• Define technical standards for system quality and maintainability.
• Make data-driven decisions using advanced SQL methodologies.
• Create documentation and diagrams for systems behavior.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data-intensive and distributed systems.
• 5+ years of experience with Scala, Java, .Net, or Python.
• 3+ years of experience in SQL and data analysis.
• Ability to architect complex software systems.
• Understanding of Data Architecture concepts and tools like Snowflake and BigQuery.
• Experience with low latency high volume distributed systems.
• Familiarity with SDLC processes.
• Good interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
