Full-Stack Engineering Manager - Remote

Overview

DoorDash is seeking a seasoned full-stack Engineering Manager with a strong product sense to lead the Social team in the San Francisco Bay Area. This team is at the forefront of the transition to make the DoorDash app experience less transactional and more inspirational and engaging. The team’s scope spans both client applications and backend development and will require close coordination with the machine learning and platform teams. The goal of this team is to make DoorDash the ultimate destination to learn and discover what’s near them that they should try next.

• You will work at the intersection of product, technology, and business to lead a full-stack team.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define the roadmap and vision for the team and deliver an immense impact.
• Lead an outstanding team by coaching engineers, empowering engineers through delegation, and applying your technical expertise to hold your team to the highest engineering standards.
• Inspire the team with your technical vision and create the alignment necessary to execute on it.
• Scale the team by recruiting, retaining, and developing highly talented engineers across different disciplines.

Requirements

• You have a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• You have 7+ years of industry experience, including a minimum of 2 years of management experience.
• You have experience managing engineering disciplines across BE + Android + iOS + Web.
• You bring a strong product sense and can be a thought partner with cross-functional peers.
• You have hands-on experience working with non-technical stakeholders, cross-team collaboration, and building scalable products in a fast-paced environment.
• You have the ability to handle ambiguity and work with product and business partners to collect non-technical requirements to design and build scalable experience solutions.
• You have the ability to guide and grow an excellent engineering team in a rapidly changing business environment.
