Business Finance Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Business Finance Analyst will report directly to the Regional Operations Director and be supported by the Finance Team. This position functions as a critical business partner with Dexterra operations to effectively manage and control the business.

In Short

• Prepares monthly financial statements by contract with comparison against forecast or budget.
• Performs analysis on the monthly financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
• Works closely with Business Finance team and Operations to generate analysis and insight.
• Prepares annual budgets and quarterly financial forecasts.
• Prepares month-end Financial Reporting Package for Joint Ventures.
• Assists with balance sheet GL account monthly reconciliations.
• Prepares break-even analysis by contract.
• Prepares monthly and quarterly reports for stakeholders.
• Reviews AP and AR Documents for accuracy.
• Supports month-end activities and audit requests.

Requirements

• Relevant educational background in Finance, Accounting or Business.
• Possession of a CPA designation or working towards it.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in financial accounting role.
• Well-developed analytical skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated attitude and ability to work independently.
• Good IT and systems skills including ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
• NetSuite or OneStream experience is an asset.
