Manufacturing Supervisor - Remote

Overview

We are hiring an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor for our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of employees in the bindery department and directing work activities to meet production, quality, and safety goals for Core Publishing Solutions.

In Short

• Directing work activity to meet departmental production targets.
• Identifying and resolving complex technical problems.
• Leading and participating in continuous improvement projects.
• Utilizing lean principles to minimize/eliminate waste.
• Supervising a team and providing work direction and feedback.
• Conducting safety audits and recommending safety improvements.
• Evaluating performance and making compensation recommendations.
• Making recommendations on hiring, discipline, and termination actions.
• Empowering employees through training and process improvements.
• Collaborating across departments to implement new technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education.
• 3-5 years of related manufacturing experience including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office required; ERP and SAP preferred.
• Experience with lean manufacturing techniques preferred.
