#2 Bindery Operator - 1st Shift - Remote

Overview

We are hiring an experienced #2 Bindery Operator for our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. You will be responsible for reviewing job specifications, performing set-up tasks, monitoring the equipment, and troubleshooting.

In Short

• Review job specifications for material and set-up requirements.
• Perform or delegate set-up tasks.
• Monitor equipment and product through the job run.
• Troubleshoot equipment and product issues.
• Communicate effectively during shift hand-offs.
• Complete preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Document activities accurately in relevant systems.
• Provide work direction to others.
• Participate in safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide backup for other operators as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or higher; vocational/technical degree preferred.
• Experience leading and training others.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills.
• Experience in an industrial setting with production machinery.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues.
• Competent with rulers and measurement.
• Able to read and interpret safety and operational documents.
• Can regularly lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Experience with various bindery equipment.
• Good communication skills.
