Platform Engineer, Backend Developer Experience - Remote

Overview

As a Platform Engineer at Deel, you will be part of a rapidly growing team focused on enhancing developer productivity and building robust features for our all-in-one payroll and HR platform.

In Short

• Join a cross-functional team including Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA’s.
• Participate in the entire Software Development Lifecycle from planning to deployment.
• Collaborate to develop new features and improve existing products.
• Ensure a high-quality experience for customers using our products.
• Focus on enhancing the internal developer tool Giger.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Node.js or any other language.
• Solid experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker (minimum 2+ years required).
• General AWS or similar cloud experience.
• Experience with Postgres/MySQL, RabbitMQ/NATS/Kafka.
• Strong system design and problem-solving skills.
• Experience building complex CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions and ArgoCD.
• Experience in building observability toolchains.
• Strong communication skills for orchestrating projects across multiple teams.
• Hands-on troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to tackle challenges.
